It’s a family affair

Meet our Turkish Free Spirit family, the Nurs. Ferudin, Hatice and their two boys are the second generation of the Nur family to run their beautiful riverside pension in Dalyan. They are exceptional hosts and guests are treated to their amazing Turkish hospitality.

Hatice is a wonderfully versatile cook, making the most of the fresh locally grown produce to make vast array of tasty dishes. As well as her legendary breakfasts, she treats guests to home-made cakes, home cooked evening meals, a fantastic selection of Turkish mezze on boat and of course plenty of Turkish tea. The family farm their own pomegranate and olive orchards, producing enough delicious juice and olive oil for their guests to enjoy all season.

Feridun loves his boats. He began helping out on his father’s boat as a young boy, mastering his craft over many years. He’s a qualified captain and the proud owner of a fabulous boat, Marvel 2. He takes us sailing around the Dalyan delta and out to sea to the discover best possible swim spots - he’s also a dab hand on the Turkish BBQ!

Both born and raised in Dalyan, there is very little that Feridun and Hatice don’t know about the area, and they are happy to share their knowledge with guests.  They also organise, water taxis, bike hire, Hammam visits, days trips, takeaways, taxis. It’s great to have local experts to hand!
